Interdisciplinary course on sustainability: apply now!

The University’s Cell for Sustainable Development offers the interdisciplinary course on exploring challenges of sustainable development and responsibilities we can assume as citizens and as scientists for a second time in the summer semester 2012. The course is open to all who have an interest in assuming responsibility on social and environmental issues and are fluent in English.

The interdisciplinary course “Science and citizens meet challenges of sustainability”, is open to professionals and students. Participation in the course means joining a diverse learning community with representatives of firms, NGOs, government, students and fourteen lecturers from diverse disciplines such as ecology, political science, physics and psychology. 

The course will provide participants with tools to critically approach environmental and social challenges of sustainable development. Enrolled participants gain a certificate of participation or 5 ECTS.  A public lecture series is organised in conjunction with this course.
